Carol Bender has been working as a Nurse Practitioner since 2013. She specializes in regenerative and integrative medicine, providing a broad range of care, ranging from emergent medical treatments to medical consultations to regenerative injections. From 2013 to 2016, Carol served as a nurse practitioner nurse practitioner at Temecula Valley Advanced Medicine the Temecula Valley Hospital Emergency Department. Carol is currently the lead practitioner at the IgniteRx Downtown San Diego office.
In 2009, Carol graduated from the Wharton School of Business and the School of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania, earning dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Economics and Nursing. In 2013, Carol additionally acquired a Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She is board- certified as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
In 2009, Carol co-founded LifeNet International (LN), a social enterprise that created a sustainable network of franchised healthcare clinics in Burundi, Africa, from 2009 to 2011. Carol served as the Medical Director of LN International in Burundi.
From 2009 to 2012, Carol developed her clinical skills as an Emergency Room and Cardiac nurse at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro (UMCPP) in Princeton, NJ. In her Master’s Degree in 2013, Carol completed rotations with the Trauma Team of the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania and the Emergency Room at UMCPP.
