Tosha is a Physician Assistant certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed to practice in Tennessee from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners. She grew up in North Texas and attended Texas State University, and The University of Texas at Austin, and received her degree in Physician Assistant studies and Health Care Sciences from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in 1994. She has worked in family practice, cardiology, chronic pain, and psychiatry throughout her career and since joining the practice, she has enjoyed using her knowledge and experience to help improve and prevent so many of the diseases associated with obesity.
The thread that weaves these experiences together is her desire to listen and tailor her expertise to each individual’s health needs and desire for change.
She has a passion for wellness and optimization of health for her patients.
She is passionate about optimizing diet quality and other lifestyle factors to mediate weight loss, improve energy and sleep, and minimize the risk of other weight related health conditions. She is married with two children that are currently attending The University of Mississippi and she loves cheering on the Rebels! She loves cooking healthy foods, going to farmer’s markets, and enjoys spending time in the mountains and hiking. She also spends her free time staying active, travelling, trying new restaurants, shopping, attending live music shows, tailgating in the Grove, boating, and chasing down her two dogs! Also, she is a member of the Tennessee Association of Physician Assistants, Obesity Society, and the World Obesity Federation.
