Dr. Brian Finley has been in the family practice field since 1982. Dr.Finley served in the Air Force as a Medical Officer practicing as a primary care physician as well as treating the wounded in combat. He retired after 24 years as a highly decorated Lieutenant Colonel.
With his extensive knowledge and hands on experience in the medical field he was asked to become a lead instructor for the ‘Family Resident Medical program at University of Nebraska Medical Center’ for 15 years.
He has been very actively involved in the Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians and American Board of Family Medicine as Vice President in 2012 then being elected President in 2013 of the NAFP.
Dr. Brian Finley loves to help any and all that come across his path, this is why
in April of 2011 he founded “LifeCare Family Medicine” the best and only primary care clinic you will ever need. With his extensive history of medical knowledge he is able to perform procedures that most family practices cannot. Procedures such as Colonoscopies ( done at BMC under sedation), Transnasal Esophagoscopy (TNE’s) done in clinic, colposcopies, biopsies, steroid joint injections for pain management, and the list goes on.
Dr.Finley enjoys teaching his staff and patients, he has a strong drive to give every patient the medical education they need to succeed. He is very active in his church and faith.
Dr. Finley has been married for 42 years to Carol, he has 3 children and 10 grandchildren.
Skyler is an Omaha native. She attended College of Saint Mary, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She moved away from Omaha for the first time to attend the physician assistant program at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. Upon completion of the program, Skyler moved to a rural community just outside of Omaha. She enjoys reading, cooking, and being outside.
Skyler has known she wanted to become a physician assistant since she was a junior in high school. She has always dreamed of taking care of people and is excited to be part of a medical practice that puts patients first and uses the most up-to-date research and recommendations to provide comprehensive and compassionate care.
Peggy Hobus, APRN has been a family practice nurse practitioner since 2002. Prior to this Peggy was an RN for 13 years and an LPN for 11 years. Peggy obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Clarkson College here in Omaha, Nebraska. She obtained her Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse from the American Nurses Credentialing Center In July 2002. Over the years Peggy has practiced in rural Family Practice, Varicose Vein Specialty, and had her own walk in clinic in the community where she resides in Avoca, Iowa. Peggy’s passion is to help people obtain the best health care possible and encompass care to the whole person, which includes physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
Peggy has been married to her husband Roger for 20 years. She enjoys spending time with family and going to her grandchildren’s activities. She has 2 daughters and a step son, and 5 grandchildren.
