Winifred King, MD

Dr. King is a board certified emergency medicine physician with over 25 years of experience treating people with minor to life threatening conditions. She has practiced in Maryland, Washington DC, California, Florida and Texas.

After years of treating serious and often preventable conditions Dr. King developed an interest in educating the public about healthy life choices and embarked on a simultaneous career as a medical journalist. She worked in this capacity as the medical reporter for local television stations in Baltimore and Los Angeles. She was next selected to host talk shows at Universal Studios in Orlando, Lifetime television in Los Angeles and PBS in New York. She would go on to win 4 New York Emmy Awards as the host of the syndicated PBS talk show “Keeping Kids Healthy” along with other numerous awards and citations for her work in medical journalism. She became a popular guest on the “Oprah” and “Montel” shows.

Dr. King continued her journey as a practicing emergency medicine physician working at several local hospitals in Houston and becoming a partner with a freestanding ER group. However, her desire for helping people live healthy and joyful lives won out and in 2014 she shifted her focus onto wellness and aesthetic medicine.

She is the owner and CEO of Winnie King, MD Aesthetics and Wellness located in Shenandoah, Texas. Her services range from BioTe Hormone Replacement, Feminine Rejuvenation, PRP facials, and Smart Lipo to Bio-energetic scanning, genetic testing and weight loss.
