The founder of ProMD Health, George Gavrila is a native of the Greater Baltimore area and has spent time studying medicine, primary care, functional medicine, aesthetic medicine, and integrative medicine.
Dr. Gavrila completed his residency at the University of Maryland and served as a Fellow at the Center of Integrative Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Gavrila developed an interest in integrative and anti-aging medicine after recognizing many of the present medical systems”” shortcomings. Janette is a Physician Assistant board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and a Fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She graduated in 2013 from the George Washington University School of Medicine with a Master’s in Health Sciences and certificate in Physician Assistant studies. There, Janette completed the Advanced Surgical program and additional training in Plastic Surgery, Trauma Surgery, and Wound Care. Her career began in Emergency Medicine for the George Washington University Hospital where she worked for several years before transitioning to cosmetic dermatology and anti-aging with ProMD Health.
As a member of ProMD Health, Janette focuses on helping patients look and feel their best through facial rejuvenation, hair restoration, skin treatments, and hormone optimization. She began practicing bio-identical hormone optimization and pellet therapy to help fight the metabolic and hormonal imbalances that come with aging and decrease ones quality of life.

Aside from practicing medicine, Janette enjoys being outdoors, boating, dancing, and interior design. She currently resides in Arlington, Virginia with her husband Bo and their cat Poose.
