Tanya Markov , APRN

I have been in the medical field for over a decade.

Helping people to achieve their optimal state of health is my goal in life.

As a critical care nurse, working with cardiac patients helped me to gain a completely different outlook on life.

If I can turn back time to prevent cardiovascular diseases, I would do anything to eliminate suffering and sentinel events.

As a family nurse practitioner I get to educate my patients about their health and well-being and that is such a rewarding accomplishment. Preventing chronic illness is a teamwork between the patient and their provider.

I believe that listening to your patients and understanding their point of view is the key to achieving their goals and the most optimum state of health.

In my spare time I like spending time with my family, traveling the world to gain new knowledge and cultural experiences. I enjoy fitness, camping, all of the medical dramas, and of course Chicago Fire, PD, and Med.
