Dr. Cook is committed to providing you with quality gynecological care. Dr
Cook prides herself in listening to and connecting wtih her patients. She
feels that 50% of the ability to diagnose a problem comes from truly
listening to the patient. To that end, Dr Cook provides 100% of the care of
each patient: there are no ancillary providers or nurse practitioners
involved in the treatment of her patients.
Dr Cook graduated Magna Cum Laude both from Spelman College and the
Medical College of Georgia. She then completed four years of residency at
Eastern Virginia Medical School where she received awards for her work in
research. The award that she covets the most, however, is “The Most
Compassionate Resident” award she received.
Dr Cook worked full time for Wellstar for 8 years and for 2 ½ of those
years also operated a medical weight management office part time. During
those 2 ½ years, not only did she maintain her full time position and
independently operate a business, but she also raised 2 children and
helped care for an ailing parent. Like many women trying to balance a
career, raise a family and help care for aging parents, Dr Cook felt like she
needed to take more control of her destiny. Therefore, she decided to open
her own gynecology practice in addition to the weight management office.
This gives her better control of her schedule and allows her to both do
what she loves and spend more time with her family.
Dr Cook both practices and lives within Cobb County, GA. She is married
and has two small daughters
