Her career began in Emergency medicine at 18 years old where she worked as a technician at Lakeland Regional Health while completing her nursing degree. Upon completion of her Associates Degree in Nursing she continued her education by accomplishing her Bachelors Degree in Nursing, only to continue her educational career by completing her Master’s Degree in Nursing specializing in Family Medicine. During her career as a Registered Nurse she cultivated her knowledge in whole body wellness by caring for patients with common diseases such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Depression, Anxiety, Metabolic Syndrome and Thyroid disease coupled with weight loss challenges. The treatments consisted of individualized diet and exercise with medical treatment known as hormone replacement therapy. Hence, providing a foundation to her Advanced Practice Registered Nurse career by correcting physiological disturbances rather than focusing solely on symptom management and laboratory results.

Currently, employed as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at Davenport Medical Center, KaTaceya cares and treats her patients as an Internal Medicine provider by focusing on treatment of a physiological imbalances rather than symptom management in order to cultivate the best quality of life possible for her patients.
