SJ grew up in Massachusetts and spent her summers working on her grandparents’ farm in New Brunswick, Canada. She knew she wanted to go into holistic healthcare while caring for her terminally ill grandfather. She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 2000 and spent approximately sixteen years working in women’s reproductive healthcare before attending Georgetown University’s Masters in Science program. In August 2018, SJ graduated summa cum laude in Nurse Midwifery and Women’s Health. While “catching” babies, she realized the dire need for preventative care for women of all ages.
